What a dashboard is
A dashboard is a grid of widgets, and each widget is a saved query drawn as a table, number, line, area, bar, pie, scatter, histogram, gauge, heatmap, combo, treemap or funnel. The query stays one thing: changing the SQL changes the widget on every dashboard that uses it. Plan limits: 2 dashboards on Solo, 10 on Pro, 25 on Team, 200 on Business.
- Dashboard filters become query parameters (`:name`), so one date-range filter reaches every widget that declares it.
- Results come from the query cache when there is one; "Refresh" forces a re-read from the database.
- Column masking policies apply on a dashboard exactly as in the editor — there is no path that returns the raw value.
Public link
Any query, report or dashboard can get a public link: whoever has it sees the resource read-only, no account needed. Data is re-read on every visit, always with masking applied.
- 01On the dashboard, choose Share and, optionally, set a password and an expiry date.
- 02The link is shown once — it is stored hashed and cannot be displayed again. Lost it? Settings → Shares issues a replacement without losing the view count.
- 03"Copy embed code" gives the same link as an `<iframe>`, for a wall screen or an intranet page.
- 04Revoke under Settings → Shares; the link stops working immediately.
Without a password, anyone with the link sees the data. The dashboard says so when the link is created — and the shares screen shows how many times each one was opened.
